William Wordsworth was a poet who wrote of an enigmatic young woman who died at an early age. Her name was Lucy.
Slumber is an album of 8 songs (and an epilogue) – each one named after a line of the 5th poem of the “Lucy” series:
A slumber did my spirit seal
I had no human fears
She seem’d a thing that could not feel
The touch of earthly years
No motion has she now, no force
She neither hears nor sees
Roll’d round in earth’s diurnal course
With rocks, and stones, and trees
